Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
What Is Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy?
The best way to maintain a strong pelvic floor is to exercise it – just like any other muscle. This may mean doing Kegel exercises, using vaginal cones or even performing Kegel coughs.
Pelvic physical therapy is a type of physical therapy that will provide your pelvic floor muscles with increased strength and flexibility in order to reduce the chance of pain and injury.
At Tamarack Physiotherapy we our aid patients with a variety of issues from bowel and bladder problems to childbirth recovery.
Men also equally benefit with pelvic floor physiotherapy and exercises contrary to popular belief.
What does it Treat?
- Urinary incontinence
- Painful urination
- Menopausal symptoms
- Rectal Pain
- Urine leakage during coughing, sneezing or laughing.
- Pain during or after sex
- Pain in the lower abdomen

What Should I expect For My First Treatment?

The exam begins by examining the pelvic floor muscle groups.
